To us women, who take care of our men’s clothes, the tie is the least bothersome of all. It is small, doesn’t crease easily and does not seem to gather dirt. What we don’t realize is that mens neckties require a special kind of care. As soon as ties are taken off, the knot should be untied. Hang it for a couple of days to relax the fibers.

Most people store their ties by hanging it. Others will roll it loosely and store them in a drawer. This way, it will not wrinkle and will be ready when needed. It is advised that ties be given some time to rest between uses. Frequent use will not allow the fabric to relax. This will show in the fall of the tie when in use.
