cami

Women’s linger is big business. Lingerie for women should be comfortable and sexy. Today however, undergarments are sometimes worn purposely to be exposed; think low waist jeans and thongs. Another lingerie that is also sometimes worn without any cover is the cami or the camisole. A camisole is a sleeveless undergarment meant to cover a woman’s top. It usually reaches until the waist or hip. Camis are usually made from light material like cotton; some have lycra or spandex so that they are worn more closely to the body.

Traditionally a cami is supposed to be worn over the bra and under a shirt. Nowadays, camis are worn without a shirt on top, usually in the summer. Another style is to wear a cami under a jacket or under a sleeved open buttoned up blouse or shirt. Camis come in plains and prints. Some new camis come with a built in underwire bra thus eliminating the need to wear a bra underneath.
