I come from a tropical country. When I lived in Vancouver for a couple of months, I had to endure a harsh winter. Nothing had prepared me for the cold weather. It seemed that all the wool coats were not enough. I had piles of clothes on me and I still hated going out. Then one day, a friend of mine lent me his goose down jacket, it kept me from shaking in the freezing weather.

I decided to buy my very own goose down jacket. I learned that they were specially made for winter and for people who worked outdoors during the winter. They come in shapes, colors and sizes. There are parkas with hoods that are lined with fleece to keep you warm outdoors. There are jackets for both men and women. It was certainly a smart decision to wear a goose down jacket instead of piling on two or three coats.
